Momo Yatai

We’re so excited to introduce you to a new gem in our little town: Momo! A food stand, created by our amazingly talented friends Felipe Cruz and Cesar Soto, who’ve poured their hearts into every detail of this venture.

When asked about their inspiration, Felipe and Cesar shared: “It is born from admiration for Japanese culture and cuisine and its connection with Mexican food, both of which emerge with a characteristic mystery and enigma of the two cultures, along with the almost ceremonial process in the creation of these delicious dishes.”

And we couldn’t agree more. Watching them prepare the food feels like a ceremony, especially as they pour the ramen into the bowl and methodically plate each dish. We also love that they hand you a book of Japanese wisdom to read while you wait—such a thoughtful touch that complements their vibrant Japanese food cart and kitchen.

Coming from big cities, the variety of food from different cultures is something we often miss living in the small town of Todos Santos, so we couldn’t be more excited to have Momo in our lives! Their ramen is as authentic as it gets—made from scratch with a broth that’s packed with rich, layered flavors. You can taste the love and care in every bowl. Aside from ramen, their fried chicken sandwich is a standout. It’s crispy, tangy, with a hint of ginger that brings a unique twist to every bite – a must-try. We also devoured their pork belly sandwich, which just melts-in-your-mouth, it’s so delicious. Don’t forget to pair your meal with their signature basil tea—refreshing and perfectly balanced!

You’ll find them right across from Parque Los Pinos, nestled between Santo Chilote and La Casita. Look for their vibrant food cart and stop by for a bite that feels like a culinary journey through Japan, with a Mexican soul.

They’re open from 5 PM to 11 PM, closed on Thursdays. For updates, food pics, and more, check them out on Instagram: @momo_yatai
