Aureo

This is one of my (Mariela’s) favorite Feature Friday we have done. I grew up religious but didn’t know / feel spirituality until my mid 20s. I am in constant search for people, experiences, practices, rituals, etc… that will grow my spiritual journey, mind, body and soul. If you are lucky enough to know Hesed and Eva they definitely take you ‘there’. Their knowledge, experiences and understanding of the human body and spirit is supreme. They’re both humble but total rockstars. Hesed became a certified massage therapist in Auroville, India (if you don’t know about this place, look it up) He’s also a Reiki Master, plus Shiatsu and Ayurvedic certified. He frequently attends temazcales and silent meditation retreats such as Vipassana. Eva was an Olympic gymnast where she got to be the Argentinian champion representing her country on international competition for several years. Not to mention she’s a total babe, and modeled for years traveling around the world for photoshoots and campaigns which also landed her as a host for MTV. She also has yoga, pilates, massage and reiki certifications under her belt (which is definitely a cute one, I’ve seen her closet) Okay… so clearly we’re big fans and love them both, but we’re here to talk about what they got going on together. Aureo, means an allusion to the Golden Ratio - a mathematical ratio found in Nature, which can be seen in flower petals, spinning atoms, seashell spirals, and even honeybee family trees. It represents a type of order and equilibrium in Nature. At Aureo they reconnect anyone that goes there with it’s natural and balanced state of being, and you can feel that the moment you walk into their doors. Their doors are open so we may all heal ourselves as individuals, as a family, and as a community via the energetic therapies of movement, rituals, and ceremonies. They believe and exude love, sincerity, respect, and sharing from the heart. This project was born from all of those beliefs. Their space is embedded in nature. Tucked in the middle of the Baja desert, just steps away from the Pacific Ocean, in the abundant soil of El Pescadero. It’s a modern design but very much Baja - cactus, palm trees, mountains, organic gardens, and the ocean breeze encompass Aureo. Their studio spaces are zen and peaceful. Their lodging is open and airy with spaces for mediation and a purifying bath in the most beautiful bath tub underneath an enormous tree. They have plans on expanding their wellness center and we can’t wait to see what they create, we know it will be truly magical.

Whether you go there for a massage, Reiki, Cupping, Pilates, Yoga, Sound healing, or a few days at a retreat. They’ll begin the journey towards your natural equilibrium. Yay to the light workers and healers like Hesed and Eva, we’re blessed to have you in our lives.
